At the start of the 15th round of Ligue 1
we will see a large French derby between first in the temporary standings
Olympique Marseille and ranked fourth in the table - Nantes. Nantes are only 7
points after Marseille at this stage of the championship and this difference is
quite surmountable. The last four games between the two teams from the past two
seasons and finished with one win for Nantes and one draw. The game is this
Friday (28 November 2014).
Marseille were defeated in their last
meeting in Nantes right here on their "Velodrome" and this will be an
additional motive for them to take revenge on the best way. If they do not win
in this match, Marseille risk to loosing their position of leadership as tightly
behind them are champions Paris Saint Germain with only one point less.
Marseille are in a series of six consecutive victories at home, which more or
less makes them favorites against Nantes. Coach Marcelo Bielsa could lose the
derby against Paris Saint-Germain, but in the last round against another of its
illustrious rival in the face of Bordeaux, Marseille were adamant (3-1). The
only problem of the camp is defender Jeremy Morel and in the game now will be
back the Cameroon defender Nicolas N'Koulou and midfielder Benoit Sheyru.
The ambitions of Nantes were related only
to the survival of the team in the elite of France, but after the past 14
rounds and very good results, the appetites of the club increased
significantly. Team is now in fourth place and damages from their all matches
away from home are only two - from Monaco and Lille. Besides Ligue 1, the team
continues its participation in the tournament for the League Cup.
Armenian football specialist Michel Der
Zakarian doesn’t have any problems in their composition, but will need a little
more defensive style of play against the leader in the league. Injured players
Kian Hansen and Remi Gomis are fully recovered and returned for this game.
Marseille will keep their leadership
position and will be even harder to defeat by the visiting team of Nantes. An
odd for the victory of the home side is 1.50, while for guests coefficient
reaches 7.50.
