The German national Marcel Jansen decided to discontinue football career.
The 29-year-old midfielder in recent months often suffered from injuries and this is the reason for his retirement from professional football.

Last season he played for Hamburger SV. Before that he was wearing the shirts of Borussia Moenchengladbach and Bayern Munich.
